Not-quite-a-secret: A few of my early books are exclusive to Smashwords. Smashwords is the only major bookstore with useful guidelines about sexual content. Because I don’t have to worry that I’ll lose my publishing account there for my darkest books, it’s the only place I sell those. The singles of my Taboo Punishments/Virgin Captive series are on the dubious consent line, and Shell’s abductor was her step-father. The later collection, also on Smashwords, contains every dirty word, but I underlined consent and took out the step relationship. Those aspects can result in banned books and closed accounts without warning on some of the major bookstores. My 2015 gyno fetish fertility series with a doctor who keeps increasing the size of his cybernetic organ is available here, too, under the pen name A.X. Endd. 
If my Smashwords sales grow enough, I’ll write more dark, edgy BDSM books.
I made a belated discovery that some Dark Romances have been banned during the past year. These instances have a chilling effect on creativity.
I still plan to releases one of my darkest billionaire romances this year.
The ongoing minefield in publishing erotic content takes a lot of the fun out of it.
